The Vanlifer’s Cookbook was started to inspire regular folks like us to experience all the flavors life has to offer. While living on the road we noticed that typical camping recipes are super North America-centric. There’s no shortage of oatmeal, breakfast scramble, burrito, or one-pot chili recipes out there. We also realized that our fellow campers were missing out on home-baked desserts! Somehow the way we bake and cook in the van seemed to fill those needs, and is just too different and too simple not to share.

Whether you cook in a tiny urban kitchen, or you’re car camping with your family, I hope these recipes and stories bring a little extra sweetness and color to your adventures. Go forth and eat all the things!
